Summary of Job Responsibilities

General Duties
  • Provide leadership to assigned program sites through coaching, program oversight and administrative management.
  • Be responsible for 5-8 school-based programs that are typically funded by federal, state or local sources.
  • Become familiar with grant expectations and requirements for respective programs.
  • Learn, model and promote life skills training.
  • Articulate the Clayton Youth Enrichment vision, mission and values.
  • Attend all required training sessions and meetings.
Staff Management
  • Provide direct and indirect supervision and support to assigned site coordinators and program staff, respectively, as required in daily operations of the program.
  • Ensure adequate staffing for assigned programs and maintain responsibility for hiring and retaining quality staff.
  • Complete annual and mid-year performance appraisals and employ coaching strategies for staff on both personal and programmatic goals.
  • Promote high expectation levels with corresponding recognition for excellence and achievement.
Program Development
  • Work to continually improve the program based on evaluations, feedback, site observations and action plans.
  • Provide marketing materials and monitor attendance per funding requirements.
  • Assist in training and coaching staff to implement the program model.
  • Work with Clayton coaching team to evaluate and build action plans for programs to improve quality and compliance.
  • Serve as a liaison between school administrators, site staff and Clayton office staff.
  • Respond to concerns from participating campus administrators and parents; mediate and facilitate effective conflict resolution in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure that Clayton’s life skills training efforts are fulfilled at the program site level and that curriculum and daily schedule components are being maintained.
Administrative
  • Ensure programs meet all regulations and requirements of governing agencies.
  • Help develop effective procedures and policies to ensure a productive program.
  • Help establish and monitor each program budget; abide by spending guidelines.
  • Prepare and provide reports as required 
  • Maintain regular data collection.
  • Monitor and ensure all Clayton compliance documentation is met.

  QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong communication, public relations and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High degree of computer proficiency using Microsoft Office
  • Maintain annual training requirements as mandated
  • Successful completion of TXDSHS background check
  • General knowledge of assigned local school districts preferred

Education/Experience

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, recreation, child development or related field required
  • Supervisory experience of small to medium teams, as well as multi-program management
  • Experience in fiscal/budget management, data reporting and management information systems
  • Demonstrated competence in program development, marketing, implementation and evaluation
  • Working knowledge of local youth service organizations and population to be served
  • Fulfill TXDSHS requirements for licensed child care director, as necessary

Physical Conditions

  • Requires daily standing, sitting, bending and stooping
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Work Environment

  • Ability to work flexible schedules when necessary and drive to multiple locations in Fort Worth
  • Available to work Saturdays and/or evenings if needed (approx. 3-4 times per year)
  • Complete 30+ hours of paid training/professional development, occasionally out of the area

Environmental Conditions

  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
